I am deflected. I was set on buying the Eclipse but i am having some doubts.. Firstly, The eclipse has very small backseats and its a two door car. I often have friends or family in my cars, so this isn't good. The Engine is a GS (New) however not very fast like the GSX or even GS-T. There is no Power Windows, or any real good interior design. However it is beautiful ,very customizable, Reliable and a car i have wanted for a while, and don't forget Manual. However, For quite a bit cheaper. I can get a 2000 Grand Am. The Grand am is quite nicer on the inside, im almost sure its quicker it has nice back seats, It don't look horrible, It is Cheaper. However, It don't look amazing on the outside, Nothing special at all. It is Automatic, Not as customize able. I am not sure what to do, Gahh! What do you guys think?
My car only has two doors. Sucks every time I have to let someone in/out the back seat, because the driver's seat always gets moved out of that comfortable position...
When I'm going somewhere with friends/family, we don't typically take my car, so it's only a minor inconvenience here and there. But if you have people in the back seat a lot, I can see where it'd be more annoying.
My back seats at least aren't very tiny. This is basically my car, except mine looks a little bit junkier/dirtier, and the interior's tan instead of black 'cause I'm classy like that: I slept in the back seat once in between classes at college, was actually slightly comfortable. Was a pain to get out of when it was time to go to class though, of course.
2 doors wont work as what bagabundoman has stated i recommend you get a 1996 nissian maxima it is fast and highly customize able if you have no idea what it looks like It is the green car in fast and furious or a honda s2000
Eh, if you want my opinion, yes, only two doors and having people climbing (yes, literally climbing) out the back seat is annoying. They usually make the seats in cars like those easier to move so people can get in/out though. I get angry when people move my seat. Just have them go out the passenger side. It's an inconvenience, but if you're looking for cheaper cars, you're not easily going to find perfection. You seem to really like the Eclipse. Like you've said, you've wanted it for awhile. And you don't seem too thrilled about the idea of the Grand Am, you don't like the look of it, and having a car that you don't think looks good sucks. And fast engines are fun, but do you really need the fastest one you can get? Last I checked you weren't a street racer. I say go with the Eclipse. Put some more consideration into it though, of course.
Where did i say that was an option.... Or that i liked that car ;P I'd never get a Syder Eclipse or Convertible version. I can imagine having a convertible would make it a ton easier getting in the back seats. There is literally like 3 Inch between the front and back seats. Yeah, I might. I figure i can buy the car tune it up and sell it for profit if i ever wanted too. There are just so many upgrades for the Eclipse lol, and im getting a semi good deal, So its not a huge issue, I don't have tons of people in my car (as in often) but when i do, its usually like 3 /4 Lol.
Lol chase i was jsut recommending cars that i know because i've never heard of the cars you listed probly because we live in diffrent countrys....
sorry bout double post but power windows can fault and it cost a fair bit to replace as they have to we-wire them though each door and then replace it my mum had the problem cost her about 800$
You'd be surprised, no one climbs out the sides when the top's down. No one's tried yet, anyways. I tried jumping in it without opening the door once with the top down, just looked awkward. It's nothing like TV/movies... I read here though that the back seats are barely existent and it's problematic getting in/out of them though. Saw a picture or two of the back and it reminded me of a mustang my dad had for a little while a long time ago when I was a lot younger. It was hard getting out of the back then when I was smaller. Still, like I said, you seem much more sold on the Eclipse. I think even with the ease of the back seats with the Grand Am, you'd probably end up regretting choosing that one later. Admit it, you want the Eclipse.
Of course i want it. I could park somewhere and the women would flock to me.... They just couldn't easily sit in the car... Rofl.
Darn contradiction on wheels... Gets you all the ladies, you can only easily fit one of them in the car...
Also, I'm sure you'll be pleased to know the Eclipse's "agressive bubble" style is "funky", and got a positive rating on the on the "Head-turning Quotient": Yes, this part amused me.... : P
Yeah i think i am. Already looking at parts to buy for it lol Ill prob make a video talking about it, Will prob put it on the main channel. Will maybe do a before and after video, Lol.
