I won't go into detail here, it's not the thread about that.
Within three months we plan to "redo" some key parts of the server.
We once again, want to make it more "hardcore". We are also very interested in switching back to factions, just because it suits the needs better for our plans. Don't frett, we wouldn't switch to factions until the whole reset, meaning you won't lose anything now regardless.
I won't add a poll, just state your opinion. If you like factions and would like to see the switch or like the more peaceful towny. We don't plan to let grief after the update, but we do plan to let factions claim buildings that are in wilderness (IE: Not in faction land, or [claim]'d)
Whats your thoughts?

Just wanted to make a small update thread. I am currently in the middle of a move and don't have a whole lot of time, however the reason for me not being around at all the last few days is because i am really sick and even trying to work on anything ensues large headaches.
Hopefully all is better shortly, can't say for sure.

I had to delete the old thread to remake this one with a poll. Please vote what you want, and if you don't care either way vote yes =P

It is very hard finding wild passive mobs anymore, because once they spawn they don't despawn and there are current limits. Meaning you hardly find mobs near any major warps because they have all been killed. I have a solution, but i want to see if people would prefer this.
I could make spawning go back how it was before 1.8. Meaning you cant have mob farms.
All passive mobs would despawn after a minecraft day or so. Meaning wherever in the wild you are, you will find wild pigs, cows, sheep, chickens etc a lot more often. You can kill as many as you want, and you could come back two days later and find just as many. Because they all respawned.
This would mean no mob farms though. No cows, or pigs, or sheep farms of hundreds of mobs.
Which seems good to me, and the server would be happy (machine). However i know a few of you who do keep them...
